This year the show will be on Saturday February 25Th & Sunday February 26TH from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The Guild's annual Spring Art Show has been moved and renamed "Art Aloft," featuring the latest and best work by members of The Stanwood Camano Arts Guild. The event, which is open to the public, features a judged fine arts show with prize ribbons and first place awards in 5 categories.
This show coincides with the last weekend of Glass Quest. We will have three Glass Quest treasures for you to find.

Categories:     

1) Works on paper-framed under glass


Pastels, acrylics, watercolors, collage, drawings. Conte’, monoprint…anything on paper under glass

2)  Works on canvas, masonite, clayboard, or wood…NOT under glass

Oils, acrylics, oil bars, encaustic, collage, mixed media, glass assemblage, and watercolor on canvas

3)  Photography

4)  Jewelry & wearable art

5)  3-Dimensional

Pottery, clay, sculpture, assemblage, glass, carvings (not mounted to canvas or masonite)

Fees:                Early registration:   $30.00 per entrant, total of all pieces not to exceed 16 Linear feet (approximately)

If registering for more than one category, subsequent categories are included.                   

Late registration:    $35.00 , total of all pieces not to exceed 16 Linear feet (approximately)

If registering for more than one category, subsequent categories are included in this price as long as approximately the same amount of space is used. We have a lot of room if you need more space we will work with what you have, within reason. 

Handling fee:      A 10% fee will be collected from the proceeds of all sales (cash, checks, charges).

Information:     Award ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be given for each of the 5 categories plus there is a $50.00 award for   ”Best in Show” winner.  All artwork must be original art (no prints or giclees) created within the last 3 years.  Please do not submit work that has received prior awards. You will receive an artists packet at the Guild’s January meeting or on line through our web site with name cards and other pertinent information. Your display location will be determined by the show committee.  Artwork will be placed by category. All artists who wish to exhibit work in the Art Aloft Art Show must be per-registered. You will be required to have all your artwork labeled before you arrive at the venue for check-in. You are also responsible for removing your own artwork (or assigning a friend/relative to do so with a note signed by you) after the announcement of People’s Choice Award winner on Sunday.  No art will be removed earlier than 5:15pm.  A 100% refund of fees paid will be made if cancellation is received prior to December 25TH and a 50% refund of fees paid will be made if cancellation is received on or after January 15TH but prior to February 12TH.

The Stanwood-Camano Arts Guild will not be responsible for any damage or accidents to your artwork. Please make sure your artwork is properly framed and hanging wires securely attached.  If your 2D artwork is not gallery wrapped canvas or is not properly framed, and if it does not have hanging wires securely attached (no saw tooth hangers), it will not be displayed.  No art will be removed from the grid or pedestal displays until after the announcement of the “People’s Choice Award” winner. You are responsible for removing your own art. Grid tear-down will not begin until all art is removed from the grids.
